The Humana PPO plan negotiates lower rates for in-network services, and covers most dental services while allowing out-of-network services at a lower rate of coverage. These plans include a plan similar to the Preventive Plus plan for those who only need a basic level of dental coverage and a discount plan that offers significant reductions in cost for all services rendered by participating dentists. For those who need a full range of dental benefits, the HumanaOne Dental C550 plan requires the selection of a primary care dentist, and provides benefits for in-network care similar to the employer-sponsored HMO offering. Many individual Humana dental insurance plans include an optional vision insurance plan that provides savings on eye care costs, making these plans even more attractive to families and individuals.
